I only got in a couple of hours before the heat got to me, but it was still pretty good. This is likely my last day at this permission; the cows are almost gone. Another AZ. dairy bites the dust...

This is the 4th one to shut down in the past year. I'm in Mesa but now our nearest permission will be about an hour away. It is what it is...

In the past I did some work for various dairies and it was an unfortunate fact that they would have to move farther out every 25 to 30 years..sad but true

The dairy farmers all complain about the price of milk going down and their expenses going up, also the proliferation of non-dairy milk products like almond milk. When I was a kid the milkman delivered it to your door and almost everyone drank milk. At home we drank it for every meal, and the only choice for lunchtime at school was milk. There isn't much anyone can do that I know of, it's just changing times.

Yeah, I don't see how dairy farmers make any money at all. I mean, I pay well less than $2 a gallon for it at the supermarket. It's almost as cheap as water.
