A plead to FXairguns

Hello,
My name is Shehab, I am from Alexandria, Egypt, and I am a very new member at Airgunnation, I've been trying to get in touch with Fxairguns through their website, but I'm having lots of technical difficulties getting through. Since Airgunnation is a place that brings in lots of airgun enthusiasts together, I thought I can make my plead to Fxairguns from here.

Dear FXairguns owners, I am really looking forward to seeing FXairguns producing a .357caliber airgun. I am sure that lots of airgunners out there and on this forum share with me the same desire for a masterpiece .357cal gun manufactured by you. I appreciate taking this demand into your consideration.

Regards

Shehab

P. S. I would like grab the opportunity to pass Ted Bier my best regards and greetings. You've been my teacher and mentor through youtube. Thank you so much for all those videos that you've posted, thank you for your pleasant cheerful friendly spirit. I miss you a lot, I wish to see you someday in person. I wish you and your family all the best

This is my point of view and my points may not be the views of other shooters. A .357 round is a bit much for hunting small to mid size game and plinking. If you want to plink with a .357, you have to be extra careful especially if you live in a residential neighborhood. The other part is cost. You could have a plinking session with a .357 but it will cost you a lot as compared to .22 or .25. Most my hunting I do is rabbit hunting and I wish I could use my .25 but I'm having accuracy problems with it. My point in all this is I'm thinking most air gunners plink and hunt small game and this is the vast majority of the market, and any company needs to concentrate on where they will make money

Hey shehab!

you share the same ideas as myself. Please check out this link to one of my post on the topic: http://airgunnation.dev/topic/fx-big-bore-gun-for-the-american-market-we-want-it/#post-38494

after about half a year i believe that going beyond .30 cal would be excessively loud and use large amounts of air. This would not fit the genre of a traditional pellet gun. I suggest you check american air arms if you want a .357 or settle with a fx boss.

travelsforfun was able to go to aoa for the benchrest competition and speak to a fx representative about my inquiry. Sadly, fx has no plans for any true big bore airgun. I do believe it would generate good revenue as many other manufacturers such as cricket, hatsan, crossman, and edgun have .357. Also, i heard they can barely keep up with the production as is. However i do believe our dreams will come true some day!

Hello Michael,

I've read your post (the one that you referred me to through the link you've included), and I have to say that I couldn't have expressed my interest in a heavy caliber airgun better than you did. Very unfortunately that FXairguns has no present plans for such a big-bore gun, I am sure it would have been the most popular big-bore gun if they would just take it into consideration. Who knows, maybe they might surprise us with a .357 cal barrel for the existing FX impact.

Thanks brother, Take care

"Monkyshine"Shehab, wondered what your laws are concerning airgun hunting in Egypt? What do you like to hunt there? Good luck on your big bore hopes with FX, you never know what may come out next.

Robert

Hello Robert,
Actually, laws for hunting in Egypt are limited to firearms only, as airguns are not familiar as a part of hunting gear. Honestly, there isn't much of hunting to be done here in Egypt, except for some desert deer, and this is exclusively for very wealthy people who can afford such expensive safaris.
Aside of that, some pigeon and feral birds hunting can be done in the countryside, but of course that doesn't require any caliber higher than .25.
