I recently got a new permission from a farmer whom I had met previously at one of my permissions. He had approached me three weeks ago and asked whether I could help him or find someone to fix his Walter LP Mod3 air pistol. I agreed to have a look and soon found out the piston seal was badly deteriorated as this pistol was pretty old. I ordered a couple of piston seals from UK and I installed, polished and lubed the internal after I have received the parts a few days ago. The pistol is now back in action. He was supper happy and offered to pay me extra for the repair work, but I declined and just collected the cost of parts and shipping fee. In return I asked him whether he could refer me to some of his farmer friends who might have some pests issue. Well, I guess it was my lucky day because he knows a few farmers that might just need my AG service.

So last Saturday he texted me back within an hour after picking up his pistol and told me to come meet one of his neighbours. Wow, what a beautiful, large and clean dairy farm! The owner told me there are lots of rats coming out at night plus plenty of starlings as well. He told me a couple of farmers might have rats issue as well. So I might be getting one or two more permission as well. What a bonus! Pure luck of helping someone and get rewarded handsomely.

After the introduction, I shared my Youtube channel with him and invited him to watch a few of my rat/starling videos so that he could see how effective AG are. I then took a walk around the property with my camera so I can plan out where I would set up to get them rodents. I was eager and excited to shoot at this new farm so I told him I would come back later in the evening. He said "go get them".

I stopped in around 8:30pm to do some quick zeroing with my Air Arm S510 .177 calibre paired with the Pard008. I was using my HW100 .22 for rats before but I wanted to see if I can use this .177 calibre to take out rats just like the UK folks. I set up my shooting table about 30 yards from the target area where I thought the rats would be. And sure enough, around 9pm when the sky was dark, all the glowing eyes were peeking out under the concrete barriers that the owner used to set up some fence. The rats were using these concrete barriers as highway from point A to point B. My S510 performed beautifully. Most of my shots were between 27-30 yards and I tagged 13 for 13, a perfect score, lol.

Owner was happy when I texted him the count and told me to come by anytime I want.

Please stay tune for the video release this Friday.

Cheers!

@Ezana4CE. thank you and yes, having pesting videos helped a lot in this case. Not only new farmer can see and understand how effective AG methods are when targeting rodents and pests. Of course the pudding is showing him immediate result to reassure him that I am capable and offer an effective solution for his pest problem. It is best of both world where I help him and myself to secure this wonderful permission for as long as possible.
