A little hunt at 40 yards

I was shooting groups in leaves at about 40 yards when this large wood ant walked up the stem.
I was ready to go as he came into view on top of the leaf and put one behind the shoulder.
If’n you zoom in on the middle leaf you can see how the shot happened… turned out that it was too much gun and there was only a damaged hindquarter left.
I shot from the blurry window in the background.

Luis:
I must tell you what a joy it is to read of your air adventures while battling an endless juggernaut of pests. Convalescing from shoulder surgery has given me some valuable time to reconsider my small PCP herd. Being reduced to a one arm operator shooter most of them are slow or useless, except for dear Leyla. After the coming rigors of physical therapy, I am planning on entering the small platform world with an Atomic Ranger XR and then possibly a AGT Vixen. Once again thanks to all for suppling your adventures and gained knowledge.
