great modification! i really like it and i was thinking about something similar.

do you remember what type / size the threads are ?

maybe its possible to install the coils with a quick disconnect fitting ?

to remove them for manual drainage or at least one side and let the compressor run to purge all the water out.

Just add a (Soldered on) T-adapter on the last coil and put a bleed valve at the bottom.

No biggie!

This is a really good idea but you really need to have your coils vertical to be able to drain the moisture.

I agree with butch and the above posters comment that the coil needs to be vertical to not trap the condensed water in the bottom of the coils. I would also suggest placing a frozen bottle of water inside of the coils to further cool the air going to the second stage thus removing even more moisture from the air.
