A fox pissing on my coon feeder

A Foscam G2. I cracked the glass lens on it when I knocked over the tripod. So I ordered a better G4 that has more resolution at 2304x1536 vs the 1080p of the G2. It works over Wifi and sends alarms to your PC or phone. Downsides are the wifi range is very limited with the stock antennae. I added a longer antennae that made it 2x better but still not as good as my other devices. This limits the range for the alarms, videos and downloads. However it can record to on board SD card even without a wifi connection. Also needs a 12 volt DC supply at about 0.5 to 0.7 amps. I use a 18 amp HR battery with a solar panel to recharge it. I found trail cams very poor in features and resolution in the same price range not counting the extras I added to complete the system.

Another video of 2 coons trying to eat, one bullies the other over the bait. I have to shorten the spout so the raccoons will have better access to the bait. I used to have a shorter tube level to the ground but found that skunks were cleaning it out. So I modified to so that skunks can't reach the bait. But it seem a little too long even for the raccoons to reach to the bottom. I think I'll cut off a 1/2".

BlackICE,

Awesome video. You are quite talented and I like the the extent to which you have taken this technology. I have a Smart Home doorbell video alert to phone system that runs on three 18650 batteries and it's performing well. Had to add a wifi booster outside and now the time from motion detection to an alert sent to my phone is now under 4 seconds over wifi.

Technology is another layer of fun to my ratting ventures.

Enjoy and Thanks for the great videos.

Yes PVC pipe. Here are some photos. The spout length turns out to be correct. The feeder was cleaned out, proving that they can reach to the bottom at get every last piece of food. I know for sure that skunks can reach in at least 3" so the spout should be greater than that. This hasn't been skunk tested yet, but I hope the length proves long enough to keep the skunks away.
