A few more rare Beeman R1's

Back in the beginning of the R1's they had both the Beeman Boswell Bear logo and the San Rafael logo on the same side. This would be the left side where the safety button is to be clear. These are the oldest versions and many are not even aware they exist. Later for what ever reason Beeman decided to have the bear logo on one side and CA city on the other. According to Beeman only one or 2 of these were in the Beeman museum not that only two exist as some have mistaken, here are both of mine.

The R1 Field target version seems to quite scarce as well. I have seen fewer of these for sale than even the R1 Tyrolean although there seems to be no information as to how many were produced whereas the Tyroleans are listed as "less than 25". This one seems to have a Laser kit in it although there is no enameled button on the side so was likely done by someone other than the Beeman shop.

You sure have an awesome collection! Every time I see some of your pictures it makes me think back to the one I had as a boy. The more and more of yours I see, the more and more I have trouble remembering exactly which one I had. It was a San Rafael version, that’s all I’m completely sure of anymore. Beautiful rifles!

Beautiful examples!

I had a .20 FT R1 at one point, bought it new from one of our distributors. Long story short I no longer have it but certainly wish I had kept it. I never dreamed when I was younger that one day I'd long for an old air rifle if I ever sold it. The FT stock was simply a beautiful piece, so well done and elegant in it's function.

I still have my first Beeman, an R1 also from San Rafael I think in '85 or '86 (have the receipt somewhere) .22 full rifle length, I decked it out with just about every accessory I could find. Muzzle weight (changed now), rear sight cover plate, swivels, sling, Beeman carry case, professional scope stop, trigger shoe, double adjustable mounts and a scope. It's a bit worse for wear these days but it's trigger is now so smooth from the likely 10,000+ pellets that have been through it. It does not get used too much these days, I revived the power a few years back with a Macarri spring and is back to better than new power wise to around 20fpe if I recall. Just may have to bring it out this weekend and blow some dust out of it.

A bit bulky but no where near the AW's stock, that's massive! The cheek piece on the MKII/MKIII is really high which is what bothered me more than the bulk. The MKII & MKIII stocks are slightly different in shape and stippling and the only reason I'd really like to add it is to complete the set. Some one else mentioned they had all 3 Laser variants but mentioned the MKII being converted to gas ram which would take it well out of being a correct set.
