@ezye, I'm typically taking them from 25-40 yards in this setting.

@blackpaw, the lone starling (off hand at 30 yards) got a sour lemon coated, lead treat... In good conditions this little rig is capable out to 50 yards easily on these small pest. The Atomic is great in that it lets me take many of the close in pest that I had to pass up with my 30 FPE PCP. In hindsight for me 30 FPE is overkill at the ranges I'm taking these small pests. Even though my Atomic XR is only 
generating 17 FPE at the muzzle, pass thrus on these small critters is a certainty. So for me less, has been way, way more in terms of my actual use.

have you tried the daisy hollow points in your atomic? they have great impact and less likely to pass through with as much energy than the crosmans.

@tsmith, thanks! I will give those Daisy Hollowpoints a try this evening as I have six tins. I believe it was you who gave me a heads up when they were on sale. I've been lucky with my main PCPs so far simply because Brocock makes really great PCPs.
