Steve & I met at the airport in SLC to share a rental car. Do we look happy to be there or what?!
I decided to bring my FX Impact .30 that I did a quick Cerakote job on.
We followed the Utah Airguns van
To the most epic VIP/banquet house I've ever seen
Met an American legend, Jim Smith (they wrote the movie Blackhawk Down about him) he also gave us a long-range shooting seminar
Had some fun with Justin Jacobson, owner of Utah Airguns
Joked around with the Wolf Pack
Gave Joe Brancato a wet willy when he passed out
Snapped a pic with UA resident hottie (who also happens to be a solid outdoors woman)
Watched but didn't compete in the Big Bore challenge. They had steel set out to 300 yards placed up on the mountain side
Me & Joe from Predator Pellets
Got a few pics of father/son combos. Here's Justin & Ryan Jacobsen
Johan & Fredrik Axelsson
Val & Thayne Simmons
The elusive "Tomcat" Adams checking the wind
AGN's very own @justweld Justin Welch cleaning house in the Amateur class (welcome to Pro Class buddy ?)
A proud papa moment when Johan was announced as the 100 yard Benchrest winner
And of course I got to sneak away to do my first Rockchuck hunt. What a blast!
The Rocky Mountain Airgun Challenge was so much fun. The PRS (Precision Rifle Shooter) course was my favorite, followed by the Speed Skills Challenge, and finally the Benchrest. I'm happy to see more & more premier airgunning events pop up around the country. If ya missed out this year, ya bettah not next!
Cheers!
