A date with a sharp English girl , and it’s snowing when she arrives...

Just arrived home from a business trip down to Fort Myers Florida. Temp was 90+ and humid in Florida this week, and snowing in Minnesota. You have to love it! I will be in my Deerstand tomorrow, but that’s another story. While I am gone, a package arrived.

So, what do you do with that incredibly sleek hand-made English marvel? You shoot it inside. Tonight.

This is by far and away the coolest rifle I own, and have ever shot. It is a Theoben Imperator Factory FT rifle 12 ft pnds, .177 Model SLR 88.

The trigger: 2 stage, 2 ounces. Just back from David Slade , the trigger man. David was once recruited to work for Feinwerkbau, at the Olympic Games He was their master gunsmith.

This gem 💎 has been sitting in my safe for 8 years, I finally worked up the courage to ship it to David. When I bought it, I was only able to shoot it for a couple months before the trigger died (wouldn’t cock).

My hat 🎩 is off to David Slade for his incredible mechanical rebuild.

For the BR guys, this is a MOA rifle at 100 yards. It will almost shoot with PCPs.

100 yards, 5 shots,

135 yards 3 shots (luck).

I shot these years ago, before it died.

Happy Friday.

Two thoughts my friend....

The 1st picture would indicate serious scratches on your camera's objective lens. I'm amazed you haven't noticed those horizontal lines earlier on your portrait pics!

4th picture...your wife is going to be REALLY pissed when she finds you "grouped" your new rifle in her family room wall paneling!!!

Wow!!! Are you in trouble or what????

Otherwise, that is one fine shooting non-pcp air gun!!!

Compassionately,

Kindly 'Ol Uncle Hoot
