A competitor for the Air Venturi Avenger?

So, Umerex claims it has the "Ever Pressure Tank System", but how does it work and what is it really? How do you pre-pressurize the air chamber? Any guesses on the technology that makes up the Ever Pressure Tank System? Is it a good thing, or another bit of garbage that'll break in 3 months? I have no idea, so if anyone has any idea how it works, I'm sure curious. https://www.umarexusa.com/the-umarex-origin

There is some info in this article: https://hardairmagazine.com/reviews/umarex-origin-its-the-best-first-pcp-air-rifle/

It is not new techno;ogy. Nova Vista used similiar in the Freedom and Aspen.

So, I assume the way it works is that a gas piston in the end of the tube always applies a given pressure. As you pump the gun, it pushes the piston back. You get higher pressures faster because the piston takes space, and it takes pressure to push it back. If you pump the gun to 3400PSI, you compress the piston fully. According to the video, it seems as if the piston comes into play at about 2500 PSI down to 1100 or 1200 PSI. It becomes a different way to regulate the pressure over a given range.

Seems kind of expensive to put all that in the end of a gun, but I guess gas pistons can be had pretty cheaply in bulk. Interesting thought.

I purchased a Avenger .22 about 8 months ago. I can’t seam to zeros my scope. The gun shoots to far to the left, and I don’t have enough windage adjustment. I’ve tried two other scopes and have the same problem. In mounted these scopes on different air guns, and they zero perfectly. I need help, suggestions, repair shops that I might send it to for repair

any help you can offer would be greatly appreciated. The rifle is super close to zero, but there is no more travel for windage

Try reversing one of the rings-sometimes you can get some angle correction that way.

If that fails and you like the gun you can get Burris Signature rings and get windage/elevation correcting inserts. They come in dovetail or picatinny I believe.

You can see the plastic inserts in the pic-along with the standard rings you need to order another set of inserts that have different degrees of angle built in.

If you are a tinkerer like me, take off the barrell and roll it on a very flat surface. I would expect to see and or hear it roll unevenly. If it rolls smooth, with the barrel still removed, put on your magnifying reader glasses and look inside the muzzle end of the bore to see if any obvious defects are present. Does it group tightly even though POI is way off from the aim point? If not, also suspect a muzzle crown issue if you don't see anything obvious and recrown it using your preferred method.
