A bespoke Bowkett & a 50+ year old Beeman scope create a match made in heaven…unless you go by Chip or Dale 🐿

I bought this about 10 years ago off the yellow for him from a guy name Rick Peterson who is showing up here recently here and there.

It is an original handmade bowkett. If you Google him you’ll find out that you’ve probably shot one of his rifles over the years if you’ve been in the sport for long. I’m referring to his factory made stuff. BSA for instance. Beeman also.

I love this rifle. Single shot. Not too heavy, but certainly not light. It’s 20 caliber about 25 foot pounds. It is incredibly accurate. The trigger is to die for. The checkering is hand cut by the master. The finish on everything is superb. This is a handmade rifle, I feel privileged to own it.

I have struggled for years to find the right scope for this rifle. I really wanted to try a peep sight. I did try a red dot. And probably a half a dozen different scopes. I finally found the right one. It was sitting there on top of my workbench right next to the rifle. I had to try it.

This rifle is one of my best walking Verminters. By that I mean I walk around with it when I’m taking Penny for walks. And we hunt chipmunks squirrels 🐇 and the occasional bird.

I love this scope on this rifle it’s a 1.5 to 4. It’s very light weight.

The CP traveled in his ear and exited right by his tail, I can’t get over that.

Thanks guys!

The rifle is really awesome.

Penny has exceeded all possible expectations for my first and only dog of my life. COVID dog 🐕.

I would not have been able to get her if it weren’t for Covid and the fact that we were hibernating.

I’ve been out with the same outfit a couple more times this week and scored a couple bunnys and two more chippies. Penny really likes to retrieve bunnies.
