9mm cricket

So i just got a 9mm cricket. This is my first big bore pcp air rifle. And its pretty loud even with the shrouded barrel, but for some stupid reason i thought lets see what it sounds like without the shroud. big mistake, wow i cant believe how loud this thing is, my ears are ringing, wont be doing that again. Its way louder then a .22 rimfire. I am actually really impressed with the shroud now.

Does the LDC on the end of the shroud help to reduce the sound much more than just the shroud itself? Crickets are pretty cool but I've never shot the 9mm yet.

You got to post up some shots with the 9mm,
I would love to get a 9mm, But and that's a big But, my Cricket 25 is a tad over kill for the things I shoot ,
I am a big Cricket fan, The guns are just assume,
I bet there are some rich guys out there that have the 177,22,25,and 9mm Crickets ,
Maybe not rich just in the PCP sport big time.

 That's an awesome looking shroud. I have a 9 mm Cricket with the stock shroud, and WOW is what I think every shot. 
Your shroud must work good. Because I shot mine without the stock one a couple times. Not that much difference. 
But, I'm spoiled with my .25 Cricket with an LDC add on that's extremely quiet. (Hear the H.S. twang every shot.) 
Recently had my .25 fall and brake the LDC. I only shot 3 mag's. one day with the stock shroud.
My wife was in the house bitching about the noise the whole time.
​Just way too loud to want to shoot it stock for me. Rebuilt the LDC that day. 
cheezstake--- Hows your groups?
Mine doesn't like the H&N's. Even resized some, (.356) for a small improvement.
The .35 JSB pellet might be a better choice. I've thought about trying them.
