Sorry for the blurry pic

This time last year they were cutting hickory nuts, but this year, the acorns are what they're hittin' -

Got 4! out of one tree, but could only find 3, pisses me off, but a fox or yote will get an easy meal -

Had barely made it in the woods, when bogey#1caught my attention, accosting a red oak for it's acorns, paying no attention to me - bad for bogey, good for SteveV

Trotted back to Yolee (my trusty 2001 Ford Ranger) stashed bogey #1 in the cooler, and proceeded ease my way to the spot in the first two pics -

Really proud of my little bottle build, as I've swapped out the 1800 psi reg for a 2200 psi unit - WOW - Don Cothran's Powerhouse valve says 'the more pressure, the more POP' - me like!!

So I just worked my way to my spot i mind, sat in a nice spot with a good view and waited no more than 15 or 14 minutes before I can see limbs weaving and bobbing way up in the top of a big red oak -

Lots of exposed limestone makes it easy to get in position quietly, so I crept to a tree for support and with some patience waiting for good, clean shots, was able to drop four, but only found three - shux

Now that's what I'm talking about!
Good show my man.
You still have that 34 panther? Remember a bunch falling to that one!
