Does anyone know what valve does this tank have and is it compatible with a PCP air rifle Texan specifically?

I appreciate the advice and hopefully it is compatible but if not I'll work around that.

Now the tank does not have a fresh Hydro but if it is in good shape should I feel pretty confident about my ability to fill it without a problem?

When you say it "does not have a fresh hydro" do you mean that that cert is expired (more than 5 years old?). If that is the case you should have it recertified. After all, what we call a "hydro" is not just a hydro test, it's typically also a complete inspection of the tank by a qualified professional. So if you don't quite know how to inspect a tank for fitness yourself, certainly best to have a pro look at it, and to gain a cert in the process. They're really not expensive...usually only $20-50 depending on your region, and often that includes a fill-up at the end.

DIN 300 is NOT compatible with your Scott tank, "Spartan" is correct. As stated, you need a CGA347 fitting. You can find it on Ebay complete with gauge, bleed valve & fill whip. Make sure whip is 6000psi rated. If your tank is out of hydro get it tested to be safe. The 30 or so dollars it costs is well worth the peace of mind. Watch videos, ask questions & learn SAFETY PROCEDURES! Good luck.
