Before I started to read this forum a few months ago, I wouldn’t have given you a red nickel for a .177. All my springers were .22 or .25. and one Diana 34 in .177. Now I have three and I’m looking at another. A Diana 56th in .177. A few weeks ago I got a 54 pro in .22, haven’t shot it much but liked the action. Everything looks good except for a few plastic parts. Amazed by it distance capabilities.
I’m using my springers for squirrels and targets.

I haven’t heard much talk about the 56th (or maybe didn’t notice). Is this a decent gun? Crow

P.S. thanks for wake up call on .177

Raden1942 your right on the 97. Just got my second 97k last week, absolutely love them, tomorrow’s classic. Last week’s was a .177.

I checked out Krale and drooled all over my I-pad. Unfortunately when it comes to firearms I am a prisoner in Canada. I would probably buy that LGU master pro if I could, looks well used.
The 56th will cost better part of $1200. to the door here in Canada. Hard to justify these prices when I see yours. Thanks Crow

How do you tune it? I'm getting a .177 for rats under 15 yards. Thanks
The 54/56 is a monster of a gun for rats and or under 15 yards, so many other guns would far better suited and far less expensive. One of the easier ways to de-tune it would be to remove some spring coils or order a custom lower power spring from Vortek.
