55gr pellets

I have a airforce escape with hiflow tank, and I haven't made any modifications to it. So I was wondering if I could use a 55gr pellet in it or if I will have to modify it. I been using the Eun Jin 43gr and they hit hard but I found some other pellets that are HP and I would really like to try those but I don't want to mess anything up. So any help would be really appreciated

Not a problem though it may get louder and use more air. This is a funny thing about the Air Force valves. 


Accuracy will depend on the shape of that slug and the speed it shoots it at. The escape has an 18" barrel, correct? You will probably (if the valve is like the airforce valves I have shot) get about 55-65 fpe with that depending on fill pressure and hammer setting.

That makes for a not very fast shot - Plenty fast as far as energy goes but maybe not fast enough to stabilize a slug shaped projectile. If you are shooting at 55 grain Diablo pellet then it will probably be just fine.
