A welcomed break from a crazy schedule coincided with very calm conditions for some 55yd group therapy. Grabbed the Gary Cane stocked 97k, some JSB Express 7.9 pellets, sat on the top of the slope and did my thing.
A few sighters shot rather hastily, a few clicks up and on to the left target. Breeze was gentle and required subtle holdoff. By the time I got to the right target the breeze was picking up a bit, 1st shot blew way left with my one hash hold, so for this 2nd group I maintained the one hash hold with zero wind doping.
Approaching my target box:
A closer look:
Worth noting: When I inserted the 5th pellet for Group #1 I noticed it felt much looser fitting than the previous pellets. What the heck, I shot it anyway. I was in a good place with the rig and didn't want to break the rhythm. That pellet struck a little high.
I really liked the tight waterline of both groups, which is around '3 pellets height'.
The 97k is shooting JSB 7.9 at a whopping 765 fps.
Thanks for letting me share.
