Of course it's dangerous, if he was just shooting the cigarette supported by a holder at 50 meters it wouldn't raise an eye. People do dangerous trick shots with firearms and bows too. People should be able to appreciate extraordinarily things without looking at the tool as the problem. There should be no need for anyone to say"Don't try this at home". Give some credit for having "common sense".

Wow! I always day dreamed about doing a shot like this ,but if the time came and I looked through those cross hairs, I'd be shaking so bad I'd fall off my seat. I agree this is a very dangerous stunt ,but we as humans are entertained when stunt devils like this put their life on the line just to entertain us for just that small moment. Props to the shooter for making an incredibly difficult shot.
