3x custom Styer LP1 pistols.

I got these triplets from the used section on AOA a while ago. Allen Zasadny originally built them all for the same clients years ago. I sent them off to AZ for refreshing. They were leaking and in need of rebuilds. He said they will happily shoot at the 16-17 ftlb level but I have them turned down to 12 ftlb in .22 which is perfect for my max distance of 55 yards. Hitting spinners at 55 is not even a challenge.

I forget everything he does to them but he swaps the barrels, makes the shrouds, scope base, cylinder and cocking handle.

For sure not the most feature loaded pistols by modern standards but the accuracy is impossible to argue.

I have a butt stock ordered from Rink so one will be turned into a carbine.

Nice!

An AZ Steyr LP1 I used to own is the most accurate air pistol I've owned and tested at 50 yards (out of hundreds). On two occasions it shot five consecutive five-shot groups at 50 yards that averaged .56" center-to-center with 8.4 grain JSB Exacts. The best group measured .34” c-t-c, as documented below (yes, at 50 yards).

I still own this Tau MK-08 that Allen did up for me. It being a side-lever allows much lower scope mounting.

Oh you lucky guy! Those are awesome. Allen did my Steyr LPS conversion.
He joined both tubes and put on his shroud. It’s extremely accurate and quiet and a pleasure to shoot.
This one stayed .177 but now shoots in the 800 fps range for about 20 or 25 shots per fill.
He is building one like you have for me except it has the full shroud like the .177 Steyr LPS.
He uses the FX Superior liner in .22 because he says they are so good.
I can’t wait for him to get mine finished.
Those are beautiful pistols you have there. Congratulations on such a great find!

He and I were discussing yours. He said it is the most accurate thing he has ever shot.

I have never seen a setup like that. You have attached the scope angeled to the right? I guess if it works, it works:)
The scope and barrel are in line the grip is canted at an angle. It is for shooting silhouette with a rifle scope.

Take your thumb and stick it out a bit and bring it up to the corner of you mouth. Notice the angle you hand is. It is at an angle, not straight up and down. Comfy. 🤪

I was just talking to him about these pistols, and he said he could shoot them more accurately than a rifle!
In his shop he has a rest for the front and a bag for the back shooting out of a window.
So the pistol is sitting in a perfectly stable position by itself.
Then the only thing that changes is when you add the human into the equation.
No cheek weld needed, it’s just like a mini sniping rifle that you don’t have to shoulder.
I shoot flys at 30 yards with it in the summer.
His work is amazing and absolutely top tier, well worth whatever the wait is.
Be sure to post pics of your groups, and congrats on such a great find!

Now it all makes sence. It is the disipline where you hold the pistol close, and use rifle scopes:)
