3D Printed 3L Bottle Cradle

I designed a cradle to keep my air tank from rolling around on my shooting bench, it attaches with a 8x1" panhead screw. I'm new at this 3D stuff but this cradle appears to work. Designed in FreeCAD and saved as a 3mf to print on my Elegoo Centuri Carbon. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7107837

I just bought my first 3-D printer, too. I am digging the challenge of design and print.

CAD and slice is a little different from my laser design software, but I'm starting to understand how to manipulate the environment.

I like the anti-roll cradle. I need to make one for my fill station.

Good work! 👍
I uploaded a 3mf file to thingiverse that should be able to download straight to the slicer.

I printed your .stl file. The profile is not wide enough for either of my bottles. I don't like the idea of a focused pressure point. Freecad is still above my ability.

Here is what a banged together on TinkerCad.

My design is based on a 3l carbon fiber bottle. The cradle is a couple of millimeters larger than the radius of the bottle and is a perfect fit, each post is 10mm thick so should not put any pressure on the bottle. Not sure how TinkerCad works, but once the posts are raised, create a circle slightly larger than your bottle and use that to cut a pocket. There are tutorials for FreeCad that will walk you through the process. Or you can tell me the diameter of your bottle and how thick you want the supports, and I will design one that fits and upload to Thingiverse.

Cool, I appreciate your offer. My two bottles are different sizes, so I adapated your idea to a universal design that will fit my needs. I left a place to attach bungie cords to hold the bottles to the cradle. I am honestly surprised at the strength of the end product. I am not concerned at all about their durability or suitability .

Thanks for sharing your creations :)
