36 grain FB .2175” NSA from Marauder.

These Flat Base hand pressed older NSA slugs are .2175” and seat nice and slightly tight in Crosman barrel, but oddly, in a great way, hit much higher than any lighter 28 to 37 grain FB or RBT slugs that seat easy at .217”. I believe it’s blow by in looser Crosman barrel. I was honestly surprised as I thought I was gonna have a 36 grain blockage in Marauders barrel.
As Gomer said, SUPRISE. SUPRISE, SUPRISE!
I’m not really interested in massive power or hunting right now, nor expansion. I’m more into long range accuracy. So even if a pellet or slug fly’s best at only 600-800fps, then whatever’s most accurate in no wind conditions for group shooting for fun. I don’t care if I have 12’ of drop at 200 yards with JSB 18.13’s on a 3* upslope or 12’ of drop at 300 with a 28-36 grain .22 RBT slug. It’s all fun for me as long as it’s consistent in its trajectory.

What slugs have any of you found that do well in foremost the stock .22 Marauder?Rainstorms, Condor with stock or other barrels? RAW? EDgun? I’m wondering what the most common best accurate .22 slug is in the 750-950fps range from factory & custom barrels.

.25 Sumatra? I’m about to test today as Pyramyd Air came to my rescue.

I’m hearing original .25 ST on Wildcats have shot certain slugs well. I’m talking slugs, not new hybrid FX slugs. Though some are similar in design.

Also I have a borescope. Wondering what perfect seating depth past TP might be. Any variations seen? Porting oval for max caliber transfer flow? Seated deeper? Any thoughts?
