34mm rings

I am so confused...

It is like asking to put a Walmart no name brand car stereo into your brand new Lamborghini...

Or putting the cheapest generic no name brand Chinese tires onto your brand new TurboS Porsche...

I could fully understand if it were for a lesser quality gun such as an entry level PCP then...OK...

If it were ME, I would only buy the best for the best gun you have and be PROUD!!!

It would be the best adjustable mounts for sure... My vote is for FredAZs suggestion

the Sportsmatch ATP34 or a BKL equivalent if they make it in 34mm.

NO SECOND GUESSING!!!

Unless you need a reason to blame something when you miss your shot then go ahead you MAY have

justified reasons if going cheap. If you miss using the best gun using the best equipment then its all on you.

WHEW!

Did you run out of money after you bought your RAW?

It still wouldn't make any sense to me...

RAW TM1000 is a dedicated SUPER ACCURATE TARGET RIFLE, it deserves the BEST!

Including OPTICS... It better NOT be a 34mm Tac Vector LOL...

If 34 mm is not enough 40 mm tubes are available. http://www.valdada.com/5-8-40x56-40mm-crusader-tactical-ffp-mil-mil-or-moa-moa-xtreme-x1-illum-reticle/ More light gathering ability, more room for greater windage and elevation adjustment. Plus, you get to spend more money. Another option would be dovetail to Weaver adapters such as the BKL, although they sit a bit high, but would be ok with low rings. https://www.opticsplanet.com/bkl-technologies-long-dovetail-to-weaver-adaptor-mount.html  Do not tell anyone, but I have been known to use the inexpensive snap-in UTG adapters with good success.

I just recently learned that there are 34 mm scopes. Any real advantage?

Tons. They are bigger, heavier and more expensive lol

Seriously though, I think it all depends on the quality of scope you buy. There are some awesome 1 inch and 30mm scopes which I would think should do just fine for airgun use? The 34mm main tube is supposed to let more light through (from what I gather) but it won't matter one bit if the scope has crappy glass.

OK, we're getting off track on what I was asking. I'm NOT looking for $5 rings. This is a RAW TM1000 and the scope is a Sightron SV series (probably a lot more scope than this gun needs). My point was to ask for the least expensive GOOD rings. If I ran out of money or just wanted cheap rings, I could just duct tape it to the top of the gun.

If $175 is what it takes, then I guess that's what it takes. I was asking for input about the best rings for the money somewhere in the $150-175 range.

And thanks everyone for the input. I appreciate it.

mikebeggs put me on to these.

For the price these are made great.

I found the same problem when I received my 34mm Discovery HD 3-18. Rings we're crazy expensive. I owe Mike a cold one for putting me on to these.

I found mine on Amazon, cheap.

Good luck.

I am even MORE confused now... Sightron SV ($1959.99 WHOLESALE PRICE) scope... TM1000 (STARTING FROM $2200.00)

There would be absolutely NO question, I would just buy the BEST rings no matter how much the cost... Even if they cost $200.00...

I would even look into something like BURRIS with the offset insert shims (IF they make them in 34mm and buy 11mm to Picatinny low adapters) since they WON'T mark up the scope.

Yea Heavier Bigger More elevation and windage adjustment better brighter clearer optics if you get the expensive $1000+ scopes.

If you get the cheap Chinese under $500 you get HEAVIER BIGGER MORE ELEVATION AND WINDAGE (with NO guarantee they will be repeatable)

and mediocre glass. But good news they usually come with FREE rings! Tried them already LOL!

At least they have a better warranty than the MARCH...

Any of them focus down to 10 yards?

Yea I too have been guilty of UTGs for some of my Bushnell Elite Tacticals...

I can tell you that a 1 inch Leupold, Weaver V series, Bushnell Elite will SMOKE the living crap out of a Tac Vector 34mm!
