Bummer Bob. Understanding that you have to do what you think is right as well, I would have gladly bought your rifle and sold it back to you when your funding was better.

Just got word back from UAG what the problem mating a new X barrel to my .25 impact was. I had the valve adjuster knob unscrewed too far. The recommendation is not to have the screw past the third line. Mine was way past that. I screwed it up to the third line, and now everything fits beautifully. will chrony the gun this weekend. I did get out and put a couple magazines through it Saturday and it shoots really nice. Need to spend a couple hours at the range and really sight it in, and shoot a hundred or more rounds to get a feel for how it shoots.

Sheesh...if there's one thing I'm learning about FX, it's when you want that new thing, just go ahead and wait for 6 months to a year so that they can come out with Gen 2, Impact; Impact X and X-barrel upgrade and...now..... Liner B just for 34gn JSB. I have missed the boat on all. Got the 600 mm .25 cal upgrade barrel for my Gen. 1 Impact in June. So now there's a "B" barrel for the pellets I shoot? Sigh.
Well not going to complain much; its good to see FX continually fixing the bugs and making a better product....Heck, maybe I have the B barrel and don't know it...but the X-barrel I got is a definite upgrade to the ST that came with the rifle. Just wish I had waited longer.

At least on the plus side, the guns will accept the new X barrel with minimal effort, and the barrel liners are under $120 for each liner you want to choose. It's not like buying a whole new gun to get a new barrel or twist rate. And on the impact, the ease of making the change is incredible. Loosen one screw. Remove the old, remove the old shroud, put the old shroud on the new barrel, put the new barrel on the gun, tighten the screw. How easy is that?
Loving the gun, how if I can just figure out the scope. I'm dyslexic when it comes to scope adjustments. If I need to move it up, I'll invariably push it down. More things to learn
