.338 bulldog build this summer.

I've had a .338 Green Mountain barrel in the cabinet for a few years now that I hadn't decided what to do with. Was thinking since it is just under the bore size of the bulldog I should be able fit it to the gun and if I glue in some shims I think I can retain the use of the magazine as well. I found some slug molds in .338 a while back so we'll see what happens this summer.

Just curious, what do you hope to gain? The Bulldog is not generally thought of as a long range platform.

I'm hoping for 225fpe and ability to shoot up to 150 yards very accurately. Mostly a predator gun. I think the Green Mountain barrel and a nice matching slug will greatly increase the distance the gun can be used at.

it's 1-10 or 1-12. I have to check. Been in the cabinet for 3-4 years now.
