30-Yard Challenge

Here's a leader board submission for my Stoeger Bullshark 22. 198 14X. Shot with my Vector Sentinel 8-32 set at 32X and using JSB 18 grain pellets at 830 fps. I got to it early today at 7am but the weather report still showed 4mph wind. I ignored it and shouldn't have. This is with the exact same tune as the Crosmans. I may increase the hammer spring a little but this is as well as I've done this year.

That’s a nice card.

My Revere .22 also shoots the JSB 18.1g pretty well at 830-835 FPS range.

Leaderboard Submission. The only card I shot yesterday. Finally got some almost still conditions near dusk.

30-Challenge: 200 20X
Rifle: .177 FX Crown Mk2 (380mm)
Pellet: AEA 8.72g @ 900-915fps
Scope: Sightron SII 36X

I came home after an all day outing. Had a good beer buzz still. Becky took a nap so I shot this card during her nap.

The 1st row I was still sighting in my hold off. After the 2nd row I knew I was going after 200 - NAProf’s barrel loves these 8.72g AEA pellets.

Made Becky take my picture with target when she woke up, lol.

My previous best was 18X on a card. 9B was closest - but close-up confirms it is an X.

Dang, I may hang onto Greg’s barrel a bit longer, lol.

Hi Guys,
I too shot a card at dusk yesterday. Still had about 1.5-2.0 mph breeze, but it was blowing from my 1 o'clock so decided to shoot the .22 Crown.

Shot a 197-15X 30yd Masters. While that doesn't beat my 198-14x with the same rifle about two weeks ago, this time I was using the AEA 18.3gr pellets. Last time I was using the AEA 21.9gr pellets. So, do we consider that a different card for the leaderboard, or should we be basing the leaderboard on rifles and barrels? Really doesn't matter to me as I am tickled pink that the rifle likes both pellets with the same tune!

Cheers,
Greg

Thanks Greg. Just a bit lucky on the 200. I shot 20 straight Xs without taking any sighters in between - that’s not a winning benchrest technique. Conditions were almost still - so I held on the left edge of the 10-ring for those last 20 shots.

I think having a couple beers had me relaxed. Also, I did wait out one breeze that kicked up the wind flags. Shooting straight from tin I also got lucky with the pellets I picked. Velocity kept increasing throughout the card as the rifle warmed up from being in air conditioned house - yet it didn’t cause any high shots as velocity rose from 900fps to 915fps. It was fun watching those pellets keep hitting the 10-ring, lol.

Awesome 15X Masters card with your Crown. I’ve got a synthetic Crown stock that you are welcome to borrow - if you want to lighten one of your Crowns to try at field target. It seems you have a lot invested in that DRS, but Crowns and Dreamlines may be FX’s best pellet performers at field target distances.

20 X’s! Tremendous Ed.

A 200-20X card. First one is the charm. I’m sure there will be more….
