.30 Panthera 145fpe 65 and 90 yards

Nice. I think.
lol
Shooting 65.5 with the panthera .30 at 1010 fps. Did some footage with the pard so you could see the hold and put the results into better context. Target stickers are .25 inches. Got lucky and the best group was the one I filmed at 65 yards.
I am not seeing any video or pics

That's impressive with that grain of slug. I bet it will make over 170 FPE with 80 grain slugs.
Thanks, I was hoping to get some perspective on what a reasonable
expectation of accuracy of slugs this size at roughly these power levels would be. Im not sure it would get to 170, maybe 160. I have some 75 grain slugs coming and will try them at max power and see what it does.

Well I know with my maverick shooting that same slug I can reach pretty much the same FPE but I get max FPE with 80 grain slugs. That is at 200 bar as well. I bet if you had a hammer heavy enough to open at 200 bar you would be closing in on 200 FPE.

Normal expectation of a properly tuned slug gun should be at 1 MOA or lower. At 65 yards the groups should be smaller than 0.65 inches, 1/2 MOA is great but sub MOA is the expectation for any higher priced guns.

The Panthera is cooking !!!!!

The 500 in .30 cal would make a wicked hunting gun !
Took this buck with a .30 maverick at 50 yds with a head shot, but pretty confident a double lung with slugs at 140 fpe will do it. The heavier NSA slugs have enough expansion without over expanding and loosing all of your penetration like a ZAN would

At or near these power levels?

At any power level, granted it is hard to tune at near maximum power level but usually just need to dial back tiny bit. What’s the use of power of it’s not accurate, but you are the gun owner so you can decided if you want max power at the expense of a little accuracy if your use case is fine with 2 MOA then no need to spend a lot of time to get the gun to shoot sub MOA.

I guess accuracy is relative to purpose. I think hybrids might do MOA out of this gun, but I would rather have 2 MOA with the Nielsen 65.5 as that is plenty accurate for heart/lung shots on medium game. That being said of course I want to to get the most out of what the platform can offer and don’t mind spending time trying to improve on my results. I do enjoy shooting for purely the pursuit of accuracy, and there is really nothing that much fun about shooting a 1.5 to 2 MOA gun since it is easy to out shoot that level of accuracy on a bench. Since this is a new platform, the impact with the same
Liner would be the next closest comparison there is a decent amount of data on, and I have not seen anyone getting better accuracy consistently at 140 fpe plus on that platform, not saying it’s not being done though, and if somebody is shooting consistently at MOA at 140 fpe than that is a reasonable goal for me to strive for.
