.30 Impact, seems to be developing a slight leak

I have been greatly deficient at shooting my airguns this summer. Finally got out with a group in Cross, SC this weekend. Brought 3 scuba tanks of air b/c my Winchester 70-.45 is an air sucking dog. Sadly it was on zero when I pulled out out of the bag and I couldn't get the valve to seat. Warranty.

Next.

I just picked up a Weihrauch HW98 and commenced to learning a break barrel. Shot about half a 500 tin of pellets w/ it and got pretty good at 30yds.

Next

Took out my absolute favorite rifle, the .30 Impact. As usual it is a tack driver. We have this saw horse w/ holes and whatnot on it, set it out at 50yds, I marched down the line disintegrating chalk into puffs of powder, one of the guys said to start trimming the golf tees. So I did. This thing is a laser. Then started out on the 75yd targets. 3mil holdover and I'm punching the centers out of the bullseye. Time after time again. I love this thing!

But I'm noticing it's a little louder than usual, and the report seems to be coming from the rear, and I think I feel a little puff of air on my cheek. Yup, the Impact is leaking. So sad, so sorry. Yea, I know it's NBD, but still, gotta get it fixed.

I assume it's as simple as pulling the barrel and replacing a seal or two. Anyone got a doc on this? And where do I get seals?

Thanks in advance.

Welp, I took it apart yesterday. Bent a paper clip into a dental pick shape and pulled out the 0-ring inside the end of the barrel thinking this was the one y'all were talking about. Couldn't see any damage, but found a same size o-ring in my collection of o-rings. Lubed it w/ silicone grease and installed. Reassembled and fired. No difference.

I'm guessing this wasn't the o-ring y'all were referring to?

While I was there, I ran some patches down the barrel w/ a little gun cleaner on them. They were very clean, hardly any residue at all. I was kind of surprised as I've put 8-10 tins of pellets down her throat.

Assistance would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Hey I had the same problem as you. The Oring you need to replace is called the, "Valve stem end O-ring." It is an enjoyable 10 min. job. This is a different oring than the breach of ring, I think.

You should be feeling a large puff of air below the pellet probe/breach area. Try single loading the gun and putting your hand there. A little vibration is normal but not large puffs of air. It should also be louder, like a loud snap.
