.30 caliber slugs for RAW HM1000x LRT

In anticipation of finding which pellet’s and slug’s work well in my RAW HM1000x LRT arriving Friday I’ve purchased several popular brands in varying weights and forms. I have more on order, but came across AVS and Griffin Airgun Ammo.

AVS has so many .30 caliber slugs in various diameters and weights, from .3003 to .3083 and weights from 46 grains to 115 grains and in various base configurations. Griffin Airgun Ammo has a wide variety as well, so anyone have experience with any of these .30 caliber slugs working well in their RAW HM1000x?

I have a .30 RAW HM1000x from a few years back and it shoots very well with JSB 45's. I bought the full range of NSA slugs and the FX slugs. Unfortunately, none of them shot well at 50y. The JSB 50's (2nd best in this gun) were consistently better. I am disappointed so far but not done yet.

I'd like to do some extreme benchrest next year, so BC is very important. My next step is running some shots with the Labradar to collect BC data and see how much I'm giving up in the wind at distance.

If JSB 45s are the most accurate in that gun you can always try JSB Hades for a more lethal kind of hunting pellet. Normally they have a similar point of impact and group almost as well but not quite as well.

Wish you luck in finding something bullet shaped for your long distance endeavors though!

The first of two RAW HM1000x LRT’s (.30 caliber) arrived today where I mounted a Nightforce NX8 4-32X50 FFP with a Tremor 3 illuminated reticle in a Spuhr mount, an AREA 419 ARCA rail and Atlas Bi-pod with an ARCA 419 quick release. On order is a MDT Send iT Digital level.

I’m waiting for the same gun in .25 caliber without the OEM shroud to send to Allen for a custom full barrel moderator and tune. I’ll experiment with the .30 caliber and possibly install a DonnyFL Ronin, but may just wait for Allen to work on this when I get the .25 caliber back.

The RAW HM1000x LRT is resting on a Really Right Stuff tripod and Anvil head. Love this setup and is highly recommended.

I have a LabRadar and Kestrel 5700 Elite AB and hope to be able to create a gun/pellet profile using the Kestrel's G1 BC (no GA BC), zero at 25 and confirm MV for each pellet, then shoot at 100 yards and compare POI to the Kestrel reading and adjust the Kestrel to match the actual POI and true the MV. If this works at all I'll be able to then send the profile to my Sig Sauer Kilo 3000 BDX laser range finder and get firing solutions in the display. Keeping my fingers crossed.

I doubt it will. I'm shooting it pretty much as-is while I wait for my RAW .25 caliber HM1000x LRT to come in (No-Shroud) and upon receipt sending it to Allen Z for a custom carbo fiber moderator and full tune. If this gun is too loud, I'll add a DonnyFL Ronin until I get my .25 caliber back from Allen and send him the .30 caliber rifle.

Here is a close-up of my favorite Spuhr mounts. I use these on almost all my rifles unless they need proprietary mounts (think Sako). They come with a built in leveling tool insuring the scope is perfectly vertical relative to the action/breech rail. They all have a built in bubble level, but I'm also adding a Send iT digital level.
