30 cal suggestion

Ok, i have most of the winter to opine.

I'm thinking 30. I really don't want another multi- thousand dollar gun.

I have wildcat 22

Impact 25

Cricket 25.

If I were going Impact, I wouldn't want a barrel. I would want to move up to the gen3 or whatever the

latest and greatest would be.

However, i would like to consider sub grand options. The least expensive accurate dependable. Single shot is acceptable non reg also. BUT GOOD GUN!

No more finicky day to day hit or miss. Throw it @ me.

If I were to spring big., what are my options there. I want to tell you the truth. I'm about FX'D out. Not happy with their regs. Thats why i would only consider 3rd gen, unless I hear EXCELLENT reports of Huma conversion.

Hello Keyman. I understand your dilemma. The 30 is a great cal and fun to play with. A real horse when it comes to slinging lead. my problem is that I have to many 30's. Boss, Impact and Crown. Of all the guns I've owned the Wildcat is the one that I have simply fallen in love with. While not cheap, they are not 2K. That is why I got so excited at EBR this year when FX showed up with a 30 cal Wildcat. Got to handle it and it's got that wildcat simple light easy feel to it. 700mm barrel and adjustable reg. Everything is proven wildcat, but the reg is new being adjustable. IF, I were to buy another 30 I would try the Wildcat. Right now though my Crown is up for sale and I'm selling airguns. Not buying. Ya RIGHT! I'm a rock. sylvan

I've done a few single shot Kral conversions using a TJ barrel. Stupid accurate. 80fpe and 1" @ 100 yard gun. No magazines is the down fall. 25 shots on a fill with the Kral jumbo as the base. There are several options in doing 30cal conversions and staying under a $1000. The marauder conversion in 30cal with a bottle did well too.

If you want to be around 1k when all said and done the .30 Rainstorm would be nice except they are now on pre order and it looks like January is when they will be back in stock. Nothing wrong with the .30 Bully either, adjust the trigger put a DonnyFL Emperor on the end and you have a nice pretty quiet shooting 30 at least mine is nice, a bit heavy but nice, I don’t even shoot my .30 RAW HMx anymore. Video of the Bully .30 shooting 50 yard 4” plate, my chrono tipped over because I forgot to lock a leg and broke one of my defusers.

One of these is a cheaper option one is just an awesome gun, but is not cheap. If you are looking at a pellet pusher in .30, you cannot beat the RAW in accuracy IMO. They are big and heavy so it depends on how you plan to use it. Mine pushes the 45 gn jsb at 920 and is a tack driver. On the other hand I have a AF Texan SS .308 that is a slug gun and pushes 110 gn slugs at avg of 900 fps so has a ton of power but less shots and not as accurate as the RAW. I too was not happy with FX regs, had a wildcat and got rid of it for that very reason and went with the RAW and am so happy that I did. Good luck with whatever you choose, I am sure something will tickle your fancy!
