Considering purchasing an AEA SF Compact in 30 Cal. Interested in first hand opinions. Thanks in advance.
Its been good, ive had one for 8 months. I've never had an issue with it. Its fun semi auto, easy to shoot off hand. Its internally baffled and pretty quiet for a 10 inch barrel 30 cal. It makes just shy of 50 ft/lbs. 690-710 fps with 45 grain pellets. I get 6 mags /54 shots per 300bar fill. Its pretty accurate to like 40 yards. Hits its mark. The only negative is using the "bolt action" is difficult to manipulate, there's a release lever that's a pain to deal with. I just leave it in semi auto all the time.Considering purchasing an AEA SF Compact in 30 Cal. Interested in first hand opinions. Thanks in advance.
Thanks for the advice. I have heard mixed opinions on AEAs. Trying to figure out if this model was problematic.Look for common complaints and issues. Not all aeas suffer from problems, some models did.
I thought the same thing on my hpss, it wasn't really a thing. I do have experience shooting moving target games with bolt actions so I may be more suited to operating a bolt or side lever in the moment, to be fair. I do operate my side levers in a similar on-target time frame as the semi but that is highly subjective to the user too.I doubt I would use the single shot option much. I liked the thought of quicker follow-up shots. Thank you for taking time to reply to my post.
If you don't see valve pin problems too often in the forums, you should be ok. This little guy got all the bad valve pins I think. Thanks for the advice. I have heard mixed opinions on AEAs. Trying to figure out if this model was problematic.
