.25 vs chipper = OUCH!

Was getting set up to shoot some paper with my .25 Veteran shorty when he showed up just at just 5 yards.

The little chipper that's been nesting in my crawl space. I had to freeze for a moment, .25 shorty in my hands.

1st thought was I really wanted to bail inside and grab my .22 shorty that's currently running JSB 14.35 Jumbo Express at around 860PFS.

But I couldn't move. It had to be this gun. It had to be right now.

As I slowly raised the gun up, he scampered to about 15 yards and posed broad side.

I quickly adjusted the mag from 12x to 6x and moved the parallax from 75 yards to minimum.

Using the door jamb for support, I took a few quick seconds to assess how safe the shot would be.

The angle was perfect. Nothing beyond the chipper to worry about. All systems go.

I slid my finger onto the legendary Taipan trigger and squeezed. Click 💨💨💨💨💨💨 THWACK!

The impact to his chest was incredibly loud. A perfect hit! Instant DRT.

I wanted to include a picture in this post but the results from 43 FPE at 15 yards were too graphic.

Here's the .25 Taipan shorty. Currently mounted in a standard stock.

OMG it was loud. Sounded like a fastball smacking into a catcher's mitt!
