25 Shots with Daytstate Huntsman Revere .25 Caliber. JSB Hades

I've seen some conflicting data around how many shots you can get with the Huntsman .25 Caliber. Decided to post my Chronograph results here.

Chronograph Used: Caldwell G2

Hello Nation

The Revere uses a very small air cyl by volume. The air heats up very quickly when filling because of the small size causing pressure loss when the cylinder cools. When filling I recommend topping off three times to 250 bar to ensure a full cold fill. This procedure will provide the amount of shots the rifle can offer. There are many advantages to the small size cylinder like ease of filling from a pump, classic lines, weight etc.

I'm 20 solid shots with the same pellet at almost 900fps with the Kral NP-03 carbine I built. It's light, accurate and less than half the cost.

That’s an apples to oranges comparison. While that is a nice Turkish walnut stock and I’m sure a sweet shooting rifle, the revere has a more refined, luxurious look. It’s like two woman who perform the same in bed but one looks like a butta face and the other one is a dime piece

Hey Mark, I am interested in this new Huntsman in .177. have you done a similar shot string with that one? I would really appreciate the data if you have it. I think the larger calibers just use too much air for that small of a cylinder. 2 mags is not bad tho if you are hunting and carry a smaller top off bottle. Some days in the field I will shoot less than one 10 round mag anyway. how is the Accuracy ?

Or maybe they are apples and apples. Both were varsity cheerleaders but the Kral is happy with just a beer and burger. With daystate being a top notch gun (I truly mean that) I'm definitely not seeing double the looks and performance is probably too close to call a winner

Not meant to be a pissing match between the guns by any means. Just would expect that gun to do well over 20 shots at only 40fpe or at least 2 mags at near 900 fps with that volume and pressure. I was simply showing a similar spec gun with higher performance specs in relation to the cost difference.

The Kral is a 180cc tube but only a 2900psi fill pressure so volume of air is nearly identical. I'm under 6lb bare gun and a sub 1lb trigger. Smooth side cocking action and a 10 shot mag. All specs gun to gun are nearly identical. At $1300 I'd expect them to figure out something better than I did at around $600.

The big difference here is one you pay for & the other pays you

I will be posting my results for the .177 later today. I'm also just getting the hang of using the Caldwell G2. So the first few strings with the .177 had a lot of misses. I don't even have a scope on the .177 yet. So no info on accuracy. But the .25 is pellet on pellet at 30 yards.

Looking forward to your .177 results.

Here's a string I did with mine a few weeks back:

That's an unregulated XL. 177

Is that correct?

ED

Here's one from the unregulated Regal XL, using H&N Barracuda Match 10.65. Note the lower starting pressure (200 bar vs 250), & lower speed.

Still consider this impressive for unregulated.
