.25 NSA 43.5gr & 55.5gr HP Heavy Metal.

Is anyone out there using these? I see plenty of threads testing the light slugs, any results with the heavier ones?

My initial testing with the 55.5gr's shooting them at 924fps 105fpe seem very promising, going to do further tests hopefully Sunday, I had to get my tank hydro tested, and I pick it up Saturday, so I am hoping to get out Sun.

Any results out there? Left to right JSB 33.95, 43.5gr HP, 55.5gr HP..

I just ordered some 43 and 47 gr on recommendation from a friend who said they are outstanding in a 30 cal Urangan. I just got them a couple of days ago but it's been raining so I haven't had a chance to shoot them other than at a tree 60 yards away to check the flight of the bullet.

Best results I had 66gn nsa .30 @ 950, the latest 61.5gn should be great too (have not test those yet )

I bet those would seem promising, just from a power stand point. That's some serious FPE for a .25 cal.

How do you guys get those fps with those heavy slugs. My .25 cal impact with mods can max at 880 fps with 36gr nsa and 900 fps with 33 gr nsa. No way my gun would achieve 924 with a 55gr. Wth.... my mods are 6.35 vs, 6g hammer weight, elongate transfer port and probe, c3 delrin. Wish I can shoot heavy slugs at those speed.

Anybody tried these in a .25 cal Sumatra rifle? I know Nick said his slugs don't work in the Sumatras but that might have been in the old sumatras with the .254 barrel. The newer ones are much tighter.

I am able to get 1005fps @150bar reg with 39gr NSA .25cal 700mm slug liner. Mods: 6.5mm VS, 7gram brass hammer, elongated brass inlet and pellet probe, c3 delrin, 40cc external plenum. External plenum adds about 70fps.

The 61.5 should work, is a dish base instead of flat base, (4.5 gn lighter for that) the rest is the same. 

As for the 66gn, NSA should answer that better than me
