.25 Marauder or .25 Gauntlet

Ok gang..pretty new to the pcp world. I have a .22 Gauntlet now and what to get a .25 cal for hunting. I can get a pretty good deal on a new synthetic stock Marauder. What do you all suggest and why?

Walking around hunting? Artemis P15 / diana ?? 4+lbs bare . 6lbs prox, dressed out.

Bench hunting where weight doesn't matter, $ will help you choose. 

Kral has some nice shooting guns. Don't have 1 myself.

Have you seen some of the stuff SPA is putting out? Not sure I'd take a chance on one of them for hunting.

Marauder gets my vote-it's a proven platform and adjustable for power and fill pressure.

My 2k impact has been nothing but an ongoing repair

My $500 p15 has been more than i expected.

Not arguing, I'm just getting real $ conscious.

I have 25 impact, 25.Cricket, 25 p15, 22 wild cat, 22 marauder.

Not bragging just pointing out that i have a rounded perspective from top tier to beginner guns.

Theirs a difference for sure,but, price does not necessarily ,mean dependability!

I agree the marauder is as dependable and a very good gun. A little heavy on the walk around.

Marauder gen2_ .25 synthetic @7.2lb.. 900fps, low noise. There is a reason Marauders have been around as the best selling pcp air gun for half a decade. Over the years Crosman has refined and improved this gun to a fine tune right out of the box, its trigger rivals guns that cost twice as much imo.

Don't buy a p15 unless you want to spend 3 or 400 on it for a new barrel .unless you feel lucky playing the barrel lottery

 The Marauder,because you can do more with it and it is easier to modify plus has higher resale...it does cost more ,butt worth it....

Quality Problems the Gauntlet had / has really puts it off my list. I have a Marauder in .22 and love the gun. Spend the extra and get the marauder. Quality is high, where you really don't know what you'll get with the Gauntlet.

I love your terex chassis mrod in the pic. Mrods and Armadas make great entry level pcp air rifles. The aftermarket parts availability is excellent if you do a little research. Bells and Whistles be dammed.

Gauntlet doesn't have this,,, Marauder tuning is easy with just a quick spray, 3 sprays in the port = 100fps increase...

Roger and Gene pulled a good one with that marauder spray. I wonder if it works with armadas,lol.

I hear mauarder 25s come with crosman made barrel and no longer green mountain so good luck with that....might want a used green mountain version

My suggestion for a super accurate 25 is a condor ss....buy used and install a talon tunes tophat and the $22 bar to stiffen tank that af makes .
