.25” lead 03 buckshot source?

I am wondering about 0.25” (03) lead buckshot to use as a cheap plinking projectile in my airgun.

Not the most accurate type of projectile but the Hornady stuff does pretty well for whacking cans and stuff with pistols.

I am having a hard time turning it up. Anyone know where I can buy some?

Got hold of some years back but can't find any now. Probly need to call Hornady or https://www.midsouthshooterssupply.com/dept/reloading/shotshell-reloading/components since they carry other Hornady shot.

Is it a bad idea to shoot this when high accuracy is not a big issue?

Won't harm your gun, unless it does not chamber well, if that is what you are talking about.

I don't know about other states, but here in California, you can't shoot lead anymore. I would think any shop that sells reloading equipment should have it

Have the laws changed? Last time I researched, airguns are exempt from the lead-free ban except certain specific areas. Here's a link to the DFG document.

I had an old Apache rifle that was .25 caliber and if I remember right it shot #4 buck shot. I was just experimenting so I bought a box of shotgun shells and took out the shot.
