.25 JSB vs. Air Arms

Here are the results of testing each pellet in pretty good conditions through my Cricket .25. Top row are JSBs and bottom row are AAs. Six-shot groups at 53 yards. Both shoot very similarly, but the AAs just did not group quite as consistently for me - at least with these particular tins. The AAs definitely feel a bit more snug than the JSBs when loading them into the clip.

Hard to judge accuracy or groups if you are using the magazine, like you suggested. Sometimes a mis-fed pellet will skew the group. Also, maybe your barrel just likes the JSB better. Just my experience. Your mileage may vary. Let us know if you try it hand feeding them.

My experience is opposite with RAW HM1000 .177 - 10.34 JSB vs AA. That's hand fed. JSB used to be my go to pellet but it seems the AA have been better lately.

Good point regarding hand-loading. I have to admit I don't have a single-shot tray and it's quite hard to get them in the breech. I wonder if there are any 3d-printer designs out there for Cricket trays... (I'll google later today).

And I have had several shooting sessions with the AAs and these results are pretty consistent with the others. They are good but not quite as good as JSBs... I'll probably stick with JSBs in my future pellet orders. FWIW, this is my first .25 cal rifle. Most of my .177s generally preferred AAs to JSBs. I don't this I shot any .22 AAs so I can't speak to that caliber.

That being said, we all know there is variance between runs of the same manufacturer. I guess that gets to the root of YMMV :)
