My groups at 50 were all over the place and off the paper. Went back to the jsb's for sub moa to be sure it wasn't the rifle, and then returned home to look into the matter. After running them over the chronograph I found an extreme spread of over 200 fps with one 17 round magazine. The reg was set to 150, 160, 170 and 180 bar with the power wheel up and down at every point with 2 refills during May have to order some .253's or .252's.

The bad thing about the hubin and ones like it. You can't push a slug through the barrel to find the groove diameter.

Actually you can push the slug through the barrel. I just haven't done it. I've had it apart (very easy) when I got it and cleaned the barrel from the breech as well.. That might be my next move. Thanks for reminding me to slug it!

I haven't had differences of 200fps with avs 254

I think the problem is when you introduce the slugs in magazine

Avs 254 HP/DIHS works fine, With 42gr you are at the limit, is possible that you are trimming the heads when the magazine turns

Thanks for the advice, I can try them again and be very watchful of how deep they are seated. No sign of lead being shaved from the previous magazines I loaded though. .
