.25 cal recommendations

I just recently bought a marauder in .22 cal as my first pcp rifle and im thinking i want another air rifle in .25 cal for longer range shooting and mainly hunting to replace my 22lr rifles. Id like a decent shot count per fill and if possible under the 800-900$ price range, I'm pretty new to the pcp market so id appreciate any recommendations. To be honest im really enjoying the quietness of the air rifles over a 22lr even with sub sonics and the accuracy as good if not better than my higher dollar 22 lrs at 50 yards

tempo47 Forgot to ask are you hand pumping or bottle ? AT that distance you"ll need a very good magnification for your scope, $$$$,. those critters are pretty small at that distance. Have only been into pcp's for 13 months so no help here sorry. Myself -I'm going to wait to see all the new guns coming out,was going for the wildcat or cricket but seen that dreamliner so know I'm more confused then ever. D

Used Royale 500 for just a bit more than $900 or a new Hatsan Galatian or BT65 tuned by B. Walton for $900 or even a bit less. The Royale 500 is an incredible longer distance shooter and unbelievable shot count. The best all around .25 rifle out there IMHO. Galatian or BT65 is a solid and powerful rifle and with the tuning and perhaps a regulator, can pretty much hang with the $1000 plus rifles in accuracy, power, but not quite the shot count. Good luck and enjoy the long distance capability of the .25 caliber.

BTW, what ever rifle you choose be sure it has the capacity (or get it tuned for the capacity) to push the JSB 34gr pellets at a minimum of 840 fps or so. Much lower than that and it may slow down too much by 100 yards, destabilize and become less accurate. Both the Royale (maybe with a bit of tweaking) and tuned Hatsan's will have this level of power. It will allow you to reap the benefit of the much higher BC of this pellet. It's truly the best long distance .25 pellet out there when shot fast enough.
