25 cal Polymags and Taipan Vets…Any one have positive results?

Does anyone have luck with polymags in their 25 cal Taipan Vets (compacts particular).

When I can I would like to try some 25 cal poly mags out in my Taipan Vet Compact. I have used hades and 25.34 gr diablo JSBs, along with some 34 grainers. I had the best results with the 25.34 Kings.

Yet, I am wondering for under 35 yards if the polymags work in Taipans, both the magazine and barrel. I don’t want to have to single load.

It has been a couple years, but IIRC in both my std and compact the poly mags could hang with the kings to 35yds easily. The compact + polymags was my favorite pesting combo.

They're accurate enough in my Vet to take ground squirrels out to 50 yards. Haven't tried them further out, yet.

Thanks for the input. Most ppl seem to keep them within 50 yards or less in all calibers due to their light weight for the caliber. 


Once I reunite with my Taipan I will give them a try.

Ditto and maybe even a 40 yard maximum, depends on target size. Ground squirrel definitely out to 50+ but starling sub 40.

Taipan Vet Long .25 is the gun that I refer to.
