25 cal Marauder question

I bought a used 25 cal Syn Marauder from a nice chap here on AGN. I'm very pleased but I do have one question. When I cock the bolt if feels like it is under a "lot" of spring pressure. As I watched other videos I don't see anyone who seems to have to tug on it like I do. Any reason for that being under such load? Thanks. Brian Smith <><

Thanks much. That is what I was wondering. It all made sense, but not being an air gun mechanic I wanted to know for sure from some one like you. . Could turning the stock spring in far enough make it "feel" like a 10 pound spring? As stiff as it is I imagine he did put in the stronger spring. Your a super help on the AGN. Thanks once again AJ.. Something else to consider is the portion of the airtube where the hammer rides and the hammer itself. One of the steps I do when blueprinting a marauder is to hone and polish the airtube and hammer.

Gen 2 airtubes tend to have burrs where the slots are milled in the tube. Also seen a few that were far from round but not bad enough that they couldn't be fixed. These things can cause among other issues, binding when trying to cock the gun.

If you run into issues or need any help, feel free to pm me. I will gladly give you my # and try to walk you thru problem solving or even tuning if you need.
