.25 cal H&N Heavy Slugs

Have y’all tried the these new slugs? What’s your experience? Just got mine. Haven’t done a lot of testing yet due to high wind and cold temps but they’re out performing my other slugs so far.

Really like the 40gr right now. Like I said not a lot of shots with them on paper but the birds are popping and it’s bucking the high wind super well. One hole groups at 30 yards. 923 fps with a stock impact m3.

I haven't tried the heavy but I weighed about 20 random 30g .25 cal slugs and all were exactly 30g. As well it looks like they are polymer coated or something. Too cold to go to the range yet her but I'm hoping they work well is something.

I pre-ordered some 38 grain 0.250" version from PA but no idea when they will get to my place. I might get some other sizes and weights while Im waiting. Do you have any insight on what lengths/weights might fit in a standard side-shot FX mag?

I’ve shot 44 grain H&N .25cal slugs out of my FX Maverick without any problems with the mag.

I really like the way the T-slot hollow point transfers it's energy to the target !
