It depends on the law, distance, ME, pellet and shot location.

Depends on the power output, HUGE difference between a pellet slinging s510 and a slug shooting condor or power tuned impact.

as said first check you local laws. with pellets, id feel comfortable with coyote, and smaller hogs out of a full power condor as said above. with slugs, larger hogs, and I suppose deer if you kept it inside of say 25 yards. was there a special animal you were thinking of?

smaller animals (and shorter distances) than you would hunt with a .22LR ammo rifle, seems like a good rule of thumb.

I second the above references. I have taken full grown yotes with a 25 cal at 50 yard, but it was pushing 60 ft lbs and I headshot it.

one of the better halfs grandsons was cleaning a deer he killed with his 270 so i got my stock .25 gauntlet and shot it twice in the front of the skull (AA domed) and each time it went through the skull and stirred up the brains inside .

I really am sold on the .25. Pellets are reasonable and so are the hybrid slugs add solid slugs and you have a well rounded caliber. Light pellets and powered down equals back yard pesting. Turn the power up and raccoons, coyote, feral cats and dogs ( farmers and ranchers). Using solid slugs and 900+ fps deer. head and heart shots only. hogs are tough and dangerous. I'd only try them from a tree stand. I have an FX impact in .25. But I want an FX mkII in .357 for deer and hogs with slugs and a 580cc air tank. You could get one in .25 and get the .357 barrel kit for large game. Or visa versa.

Why not? As far as I know the only difference from the older MK2 with PP is hammer weight and bottle capacity as far as i know.
