.25 Cal Avenger Pellet Recomendations

No better place to ask. You definitely know more about this than I do. I have found some good videos and a good one for tuning the thing, but that is later.

Right now looking for pellet/slug recommendations and weights. I must have lost my mind getting a second PCP when I haven't even been able to charge the first one. Compressor is a few days late as I type, but it is what it is.

Looking for accurate, of course, but also plan to use it for property maintenance up to coyote. They are small and close built around these parts. This size critter will be under 50 yards, and probably under 30, so the .25 cal should handle it.

Best slug NSA 29gr. Best pellet JSB 33.95 MkII. Test though, every gun is different.

Not tried slugs. As Pumacarl said, JSB 33.95’s should be fine. I shoot the JSB Kings (25.39) at 890, a good balance between power and shot count. Reg set at 140 bar according to reg gauge. (Which, BTW, I find remarkably accurate on these guns) 
50 yard accuracy is stellar.

Hades 26 or JSB 34's run great out to 100yds

25 shots under a quarter plenty good for me for groups.

Mine eats NSA slugs 36 and down like candy.

I will soon be testing 47gr cast and below to 33gr.

Should be fine outside of mag loading.

I shoot Airforce single shots anyway so the repeat isnt an issue.

I have been having good luck with the 34s too. At avg of 855 FPS I am hitting 55 fpe over 2+ mags. At 50 yards, I think it is about equal in accuracy to my .25 Marauder. I haven’t sat down with the two of them for a real head to head test yet. But with deer season being over for me, I will be soon.

JSB Kings 33.9 work good for my .25. I am shooting slower at 777 fps for 32 shots, (4 mags). Only filling to 3700 psi

.25 Hades are the most accurate pellet out of my Royale. Been using them since last December and their energy dump is devastating. Your mileage may vary but try them! I'll send you a sampler if you'd like. PM me. Happy 2021!

25 gr JSB Kings, 3700 fill - Reg @ 2200, HS @ 2 1/2, 867 to 876 fps, 32 shots ending @ 2200 psi

Mine likes the regular JSB heavies better than the MKII at about 700fps. 25 grain JSBs are also good but FX seem to be a little better at this pellet weight. Only pellet I've tried mine really didn't like was H&N FTT. Also did not like H&N Grizzly slugs - only slug I have tried so far. I had the regulator set at about 1600 psi which gave me almost 800 fps on the 25 grain and a little over 700 on the heavies. Will be trying a 1800 regulator setting next. I would like a little more velocity. I don't expect it to change what pellets it likes but we will find out. Short version is you don't seem to be likely to go wrong with JSBs in this gun.
