You also won’t be ripping any slug out of a 500mm .22 or .30 at crazy speeds if you’re expecting good consistent groups. There is a velocity wall so to speak with a 500mm barrel. Trust me, I’ve been living it for 8 years. You either live with it or never be happy. I tried getting around it in .22, .25, and .30 by machining my own 500mm barrels and controlling way more factors than what’s available to just bolt onto a gun. I found way better results in .25 accuracy wise, but I still experienced the same velocity cap. With a .22 I could match what my modded FX barrel produced but couldn’t beat it. In .30 I could beat FX stuff with accuracy but still had a velocity cap. The expression “stay in your lane” applies to barrel length and couldn’t be described any better.Ok I have exact 25 grain pellets and those were shooting good they’ve been out of 22 cal barrel kits in 500 for like 2 months almost 3
