Patriot Outdoors has now expanded their Javelin Slugs line-up to include new .25 caliber and .30 caliber slugs. These pure-lead hand-swaged hollow-point slugs will allow larger game to be taken more humanely by combining the enhanced accuracy the Javelin’s provide with the heavier weights provided by these larger calibers.
The .25 caliber Javelin Slugs are offered in both .250 and .251 to allow a wide variety of manufacturers rifles to shoot them accurately. They are available in grain weights of 32gr, 36gr, 40gr, and 44gr. They are packaged in cylinders of 150 slugs. The .30 caliber Javelin Slugs are offered in .300 and .301. They are available in grain weights of 52gr, 56gr, 60gr, 64gr, and 68gr. They are packaged in cylinders of 100 slugs.
Extra care, research and testing has been given when creating the individual slugs. For instance lighter weight Javelin Slugs have hollow points that open up more which caters to the smaller game they are used for that benefit from the expansion and the resulting dumping of energy upon impact. Heavier grain Javelin Slugs lend more towards penetration needed for the larger sized game they will be used for.
