N/A 24 Hour leak test?

How exactly does the "24 hour leak test" happen?
Reason for asking, I ordered an air rifle with a 24 hour leak test. It was paid for, packaged, and in UPS hands in under 14 hours. Do companies have guns sitting on the shelf under full charge and monitored for leakage for 24 hours before being sold?

Are you sure it was actually in the hands of UPS? You will usually get a notification when a packing label is created but that does not mean that your package has actually been picked up by UPS yet. So perhaps your new toy is currently undergoing its pressure test as we speak.

The UPS shipping updates shows a label created, then the next day the package in UPS possession, all happening well under 24 hours. I'm not saying it didn't happen, just wondering what the process looks like.

I’m guessing it didn’t get tested, Occam‘s razor says…

There's only one place I know of that actually calls it "24 hour leak test" and I'd trust them explicitly. If it's used, it more than likely got tested when taken in.
No matter, I'd wouldn't borrow trouble, until I actually had a leak, I'd enjoy the gun. Leaks are part of pcp life.

My Avenger leaked when I got it but Air Venturi fixed it and it hasn't leaked since. The only hassle was the shipping to return it wasn't cheap. If yours leaked and they didn't test it you should have a very good argument for them paying shipping. It also took like 5 weeks. My Avenger was my second airgun. At this point I've pretty much decided just to fix them myself. Much cheaper than shipping and faster too. But you have every right to make them honor the warranty.

Are you saying that AIr Venturi/Pyramyd sent you a gun that leaked and you had to pay for shipping to return it for repairs?
Was it under warranty?
