Crosman 2300s Trigger Job?

there are three many triggers the stock one, the one that comes in the 2300s which is wider and the roller trigger that Cothran made which are even wider at the finger and the Cothran doesn't use a pin as the pin is in the trigger
are the ones one Ebay Cothran maybe or copies
so is the trigger the key i don't believe so
Magnum makes and wider sear nice pieces and they have better pins say with me here
trigger sloop is a problem trigger wiggle loose sear twisting and turning is it a lot no but that not the point
sear spring as little as it will take and work but ass the spring gets lighter in wire dimeter the spring will not stay straight so support is needed as in tubing
so there is one other thing that i have done but you have to be care not to take too much
reduce the sear to hammer height about 0.8mm will do that take the time to disengage the sear from hammer
and of course there is the super sear i have one in one of mine
the best is just get the 1701p trigger group and the hammer and be done with it
you can screw around with the factory trigger or just replace it i have a little of everything as i have WAY TOO MANY style pistols
i have Cothran trigger and magnum sears but in the end just pony up the money and get the 1701 trigger group
need any more help i am easy to find just message me

I cannot remember where I got mine from alchemyairwerks on ebay. I polished the area on the sear bar where the trigger (roller) contacts it

I actually worked several 2240 variants for myself, son and grandson some with supersears and some with complete 1701p trigger conversions. Oveall the 1701p is a better trigger, one or two of the supersear modded guns are just as good, at a far less expensive conversion. I don't think the supersear is any longer available

I contacted the Super Sear maker years ago (3?) and he said he stopped making them.

It’ll make your trigger very sensitive, especially when paired with a Don C Roller Trigger and MAP spring.

Mine is a single with no slack, but I did add a very thin piece of soft rubber on top of the trigger blade’s ridge to create a pre-tension.

If you would notice, the trigger raises itself when you cock it; that rubber will get squeezed between the ridge and trigger frame.
