2289 w/ 40gr?!

Hahaha I must be a mad man bbbbuuuuutttttt ha oh man this was a blast of a test! 12 gr plinkers vs 40gr sluggers! But in a pumper!? The Ole bucket test came to mind. Got to thinking about potential of the drifter and went hmmm....slugs?ooooh yea why not; i got some! Ten yards that's pretty good! Yeah with a mulitpump a chronograph comes in handy for sure. I have the Competition ProChrono DLX and like it

Stock internals too seems all chronographs run about $150 and up?

Stock internals have enough power for me but I'm not using the 2289 for hunting. Chronograph 3 pumps 320 FPS; 10 pumps 501 FPS and I tried one 12 pump and got 525 FPS with CPHP 14.3. I got the Chronograph on sale at PA for less than $150. Some have purchased ones on Amazon for less I can't speak about durability/reliability since I don't have one.

Stock seems fine until I get out a break barrel and THEN go to my 2289 the 2289 is wayyyy quieter though

Quieter, no noticeable recoil, super light and the versatility of shooting in the garage to bringing it to the range and going out to 50 yards. These Crosman multi pumps are .
