2250B Help Needed

I have a 2250B on my bench that is a.) not piercing the CO2 cartridge regularly and b.) when it does it leaks out around the hex screw on the breech end of the barrel. The little carbine is not mine but belongs to a neighbor. I am learning on the fly here so all help is appreciated. Thanks in Advance !!

Main valve is leaking, order one online. I think there about 14$. Google how to disassemble a 2240/2250, many vids online to show you just what to do. Mine leaked and this is just what I did to get er shooting again.

It can be difficult to get a good seal between the brass valve and the barrel. Instead of using the small metal transfer port many people use a small piece of co2 compatible hose cut to the correct length.

I you want to use the metal transfer port be sure that it has been installed the correct way around. From memory the longer end fits into the barrel.

Thanks fellows....now any ideas on why the cylinders are not being pierced regularly?

Try cocking gun before inserting cartrage. Fire a couple times and you should be good.

It may be that the co2 powerlet is not pressed snuggly enough to the valve. I am unsure if the rod on the cap that you tighten can be adjusted. I know that on my 2260 I was able to adjust the rod, as like you I initially had problems getting a good clean puncture.
